Guanajuato Official Killed in Front of Family in Tragic Execution

On Thursday, May 19, 2022, a shocking crime unfolded in Villagrán, Guanajuato, when hitmen executed a city official in front of his family. The victim, identified as 39-year-old Miguel Ángel Noria Huizache, who served as the Director of Municipal Services for Villagrán, was gunned down as he left for work.

The tragic event occurred in the La Venta neighborhood, where two men, dressed in black jackets and caps, approached Noria Huizache’s vehicle. Without uttering a word, the assailants opened fire, brutally killing him. The horrifying moment was captured on video, showing his wife hugging their young son in a desperate attempt to shield him from the violence and luckily they were both unharmed.

After the attack, the gunmen quickly fled the scene, leaving the family in shock. Noria Huizache was rushed to the Community Hospital of Villagrán, but the severity of his injuries proved fatal. Despite the hospital’s efforts to implement safety protocols, including activating the “Silver Code” to protect staff and patients by closing all entrances, the official succumbed to his wounds.

This incident has left the local community shaken and highlights the ongoing issues of violence and insecurity in the region.
